The Process

  1. 01

Individuals applying for themselves, and universities applying for their students fill out the IPDAP forms. Please note that the forms are different for individuals, organizations and institutions.

  2. 02

The applications are processed and evaluated by IAC to assess if the subsidy request can be approved. Communication regarding approval/ rejection of request is sent to applicants.

  3. 03

All approved applications are then individually processed as subsidy cases and external agencies are contacted for arranging maximum subsidy/ financial assistance possible for applicants.

  4. 04

Once arranged, applicants and their target-institutions are communicated about the subsidy and amount, and IAC and the admission office of target institutions coordinate to complete the process of subsidy award to the applicant-individuals or applicant-institutions.

  5. 05

The applicants are then instructed to pay the reduced fee by the institution they are joining.

Examples

Under the IPDAP program, arrangements are made to subsidize the education fee/ cost, which applicants are required to pay for acquiring a degree/ diploma/ certificate/ training:

Example 1
Subsidy to a student for DAP - S1 – for Fee for a data science diploma program of a training company.

Herbert, is based out of Nairobi, Kenya, and has got admission in the data analytics diploma program. He fills Individual Applicants form – available online on www.ipdap.org. Let's assume, the standard fee for a program payable to the training/ certification body is USD 8,000.00 USD. If Herbert’s IPDAP subsidy application is approved, 25% of this fee – USD 2000.00 – is paid as IPDAP subsidy, and only USD 6,000.00 is left to be paid by Herbert, the applicant.

Example 2
Subsidy to a professional for DAP - S2 – for Participation Fee for an Executive Development program in a business school.

Emily, a marketing professional based out of Puerto Rico, seeks to participate in a marketing leadership program of INSEAD. She fills out Individual Applicants form– available online on www.ipdap.org. The standard fee for the program payable to INSEAD is USD 20,000.00 USD. If Emily’s IPDAP subsidy application is approved for 15% of this fee – USD 3000.00 – is paid as IPDAP subsidy, and Emily now requires to pay only USD 17,000.00 for the program she wishes to sign up for.

Example 3
Subsidy to a university for DAP - S1: Professional Certification Fee for a group of students

Gray University from Singapore seeks to get its students certified in business analytics by an international certification organization/ company. An authorized Gray official fills out Institutional Applicant form – available online on www.ipdap.org. If the standard fee for the program payable to the certification company at the time of subsidy application is USD 1200.00 USD/pax, and IAC approves 20% subsidy for the applicant-institution - Gray University- USD 240.00/pax – is awarded as IPDAP subsidy to Gray Ujiversity. Only USD 960.00/ pax is paid by the university for its students.
